It is the day of Pentecost (the birthday of the Church) but it is a day we lament the racism in our nation. How do these two go together? The Spirit gives us the strength to be advocates.
In this sermon series we turn to the New Testament to see what Jesus does when he gets in a jam. His response teaches us how to respond to temptation.
There is always a day after conflict. It doesn’t all end when one side wins and the other loses. Why does that matter to us? Because we have a big “day after” moment coming up in November.
Abraham and Sarah still do not have an heir. Instead they force the issue and it doesn’t turn out well. There are real life and immediate applications to our life right now in this uncertain time of ours.
