Pentecost 2020

It is the day of Pentecost (the birthday of the Church) but it is a day we lament the racism in our nation. How do these two go together? The Spirit gives us the strength to be advocates.

We begin a new series entitled “Ordinary People, Extradordinary Moments.” God uses ordinary regular people and leads them to extraordinary moments. Today we begin with a regular guy named Zechariah who experienced real life disappointment yet God does something extraordinary.
We move forward into chapter 4 of Galatians. Sometimes we don’t open the gift that was given in love. The gift was given but the benefits aren’t realized until it is opened!
We make our last stop on “The Journey” to Jerusalem. As Jesus was leaving Jericho, we see Jesus’ commitment to drawing people close to him and a man’s faith who was stronger than all the people following Jesus in that moment.
