In the Beginning: Choices

We make our last stop on “The Journey” to Jerusalem. As Jesus was leaving Jericho, we see Jesus’ commitment to drawing people close to him and a man’s faith who was stronger than all the people following Jesus in that moment.
In today’s message, we hear of two people in one story who end up at the feet of Jesus for two different reasons. Whatever reason we come to Jesus, he will never reject us.
We begin this message with a secular Christmas song sung by Bruce Ewing and accompanied by Philip Fortenberry. This unconventional song for Christmas worship reflects the unconventional year we have all experienced.
We hear another song from the radio this week. This time from Motown Records. Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On reminds to ask the question to those around us before we get too far down the road.
