Here we are. It is near the end of Holy Week. It is arguably the most important week in Christian history. For many the final days of Jesus’ life has no meaning. For some Christians this week has very little impact in their daily lives. All people are looking for freedom and empowerment but most…
By the time you read this, I will be back in the Bay Area! (I hope that brings joy!) I have just spent my 33rdyear at a “camp” called Leadership Lab ( http://leadershiplab.net). It is joy to equip youth with leadership skills as well as be instrumental in helping them discover the love of Jesus….
I ran across another great article this week that I wanted to share with you. I found it both helpful and enlightening! Enjoy! 10 “SPIRITUAL” WAYS TO RELAX THIS SUMMER Even when you’re not on vacation! By Pastor Kathy Hawks of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Seattle, Washington Summer — such a delicious time of…

I listened intently to the Bishop’s message. I felt like I register under the “old”
that has to change. I have to say that this was the bishop’s opinion of what he thinks the future holds that the neighborhood church might not be the future or maybe it could be one of the outreach pods. I have the thought that God might have a different plan. The church as we know it today has watered down and has taken a ” on the middle of the fence position”. There are things going on that the bible does not approve of…but it goes on. I have many things to think about on this one.
I think Bishop Miller isn’t saying this is the only way the church will operate in the future. He is saying this is one model that is already working within the city.
The Bishop’s message reminds me of way back when the Jews met in small groups (pods). Are we going backward?
