A kindergarten teacher found an exciting new thing for her Sunday School class. The teacher wrote a song about popcorn, taught it to the children, and had them crouch down on the floor to sing it. At appropriate points in the song, all the children would “pop up.” The teacher soon had them “popping” all…
One of my favorite songs (and I have a lot of them) is “Blessed Be Your Name.” No, not your name, God’s Name. Why? I am reminded of Psalm 18:3 as the reason why. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise. God is the reason for everything, and the gift of Jesus…
I ran across this news story that I want to share with you written by Michael Goonan from the Good News Network… It seemed that life was finally giving her a break. A single mom down to her last $7 found a $1 bill in a grocery store parking lot. So she walked back into…

I listened intently to the Bishop’s message. I felt like I register under the “old”
that has to change. I have to say that this was the bishop’s opinion of what he thinks the future holds that the neighborhood church might not be the future or maybe it could be one of the outreach pods. I have the thought that God might have a different plan. The church as we know it today has watered down and has taken a ” on the middle of the fence position”. There are things going on that the bible does not approve of…but it goes on. I have many things to think about on this one.
I think Bishop Miller isn’t saying this is the only way the church will operate in the future. He is saying this is one model that is already working within the city.
The Bishop’s message reminds me of way back when the Jews met in small groups (pods). Are we going backward?
